A wake-up call for tired feet
I bought the Ramble short insole and what a difference they made! I’ve been wearing these for about two months now and boy, they make my flat feet feel so much better and I can really feel the difference after a long walk/hike!! Thank you Tread Lab!!
I just switched to a walking desk and was immediately suffering from aching feet, going from a mostly sedentary work-life to standing and walking 100% of the time. I have extremely high arches--on the wet footprint test, my feet don't even show up on the floor/towel/paper where the arch is--so I've known for some time that I probably needed to get some form of custom insole.
The Tread Labs Ramble Short insoles are perfect. I followed the recommendations and only used them for about 2 hours at a time for the first week to give my feet time to adjust, but after having used them for about three weeks straight now with roughly 6-8 hours of wear while walking 2.0 mph on my work treadmill, my feet, namely my heels, are no longer achy and tired at the end of the day. The price is very decent, considering the difference in quality and effectiveness between these and your everyday drugstore gel variety. I only use these in my athletic shoes, so I can't comment on its use for all types of shoes, as I do not see these fitting very well in most flats and heels, though I am curious whether they will pair well with flat boots. I recommend these insoles to anyone with a high arch, but make sure you do the minimum preparation and research in advance so you know which product to pick and how to use it properly.
My feet feel wonderful! I've also noticed that my legs aren't hurting like they were before trying the Ramble Insoles! I love them and plan on getting some for my husband.
I will start by saying I think I bought too large of a size. I am in fact more of a 7.5-8 and I chose 8-8.5 as a lesser evil between that or 7-7.5. I considered returning them but I bought them for notoriously unsupportive (to the high arched individual at least) shoe brand “Converse”. Conveniently however the shoes were also too big and voila, the insoles fit perfectly in them and took up enough space to make the shoes wearable.
I have little experience in the world of insoles but these seem to do what an insole should. My only issue has been that they are actually not high enough for my arches. This I assume doesn’t mean much since I have the highest of high arches. I do seem to have less knee pain though.
