Our Story
A different approach to support.
Tread Labs was founded in 2015 by footwear innovator and Chaco founder, Mark Paigen, after decades obsessing over what makes footwear comfortable and supportive. He built Tread Labs around a simple idea: support only works when it fits.
In 2025, longtime New Balance veterans Nathan Isaacson and Joe Rusckowski acquired Tread Labs, drawn to its fundamentally different approach to insoles: precision fit, firm support, and long-lasting durability.
Today, we're building on that idea with one goal: make support that works, so you can keep doing what you love.
